Portrait of Cassandra Hayes

About Forever Told Press

Meet Cassandra Hayes

Cassandra Hayes is an award-winning journalist, author and editorial collaborator who believes every life holds a story worth preserving. Her interview process captures more than facts. It preserves the laughter around a family dinner table, the lessons passed from one generation to the next and the quiet moments that become a family's history.

Through Forever Told Press, Cassandra works closely with individuals and families to preserve the voices, memories and life experiences that deserve to be remembered for generations to come.

For Cassandra, every project begins the same way: by listening.

“A memoir should feel like sitting in the room with someone you love.”

The principles that guide our work.

Listening

Every project begins with careful attention to the person behind the story.

Integrity

Stories are handled with respect, accuracy and editorial care.

Legacy

The goal is a book that feels personal, polished and worthy of preservation.

More than words on a page.

After earning her graduate degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, Cassandra spent more than 25 years helping individuals, executives and organizations shape the stories that connect people and inspire action.

She is also the author of Black Enterprise: Guide to Building Your Career and collaborates with clients on memoirs, legacy projects and custom editorial projects.

A Forever Told memoir captures the texture of a life — the way someone laughed, the stories they told at dinner, the lessons they repeated to their children. These details vanish without intention.

Cassandra's journalistic training means nothing is invented or embellished. Every word is rooted in truth, shaped with craft and delivered with love.
